free art friday...

2 weeks from today folks is free art friday...

i found out about this through will st ledger who i talked about on my last posting!

"January is a depressing month, even more so when it’s at the beginning of a recession. This city and it’s people need something to smile about again and we need you to help make it happen.

Free Art Friday is a relatively new art movement that’s rapidly gaining in popularity around the World. Artists create a painting, sketch, sculpture or installation and leave it on the street. The piece can then be picked up by anyone and claim it as their own. Finders are encouraged to email the artist and tell them how and where they found it. We’re asking all painters, photographers, illustrators, sculptures, graffiti artists, taggers, cartoonists or any visual artist to contribute a small piece of work that will be hung/placed/or left on the streets of Dublin on Friday 23rd January for anyone to take away."

maserart...willsaintleger

its hard to forget the doom and gloom when i walk past this at least once everyday....

called 'Famine & Byrne', the street-art is now available as an A3 screen print limited edition of 150. The print is for everyone feeling the credit crunch and costs 20euro, on sale at Versus, Scarlet Row, Temple Bar...Versus is open 11am - 6pm (7.30pm Thurs)

i like maser's work, will st leger i'm not so familiar with...some of maser's commissions in gallery's and offices have really worked well for him....would kill for a chance to commission this guy in one of my future designs...

i saw this and i just thought it was a little bit kooky and fun and uplifting...

following the success of rangemaster's 'floral collection' which was launched last spring, the 'butterfly collection' showcases 3 designs set to transform any busy kitchen into a calming sanctuary...

with the design trends appearing to hark for all things natural, all things bright and beautiful and all creatures great and small...rangemaster launches 3 mesmerising - yet very girly - designs...
