sketch-up...

i found this excellent blogspot today which i hope can help me feel up to date with some of the advances in the 3d modelling world...

i'm a huge fan of sketch-up and i was getting to grips with it until i received my redundancy...while being such a user friendly package it does have its flaws and it can be quite slow at times, but none-the-less, i'm still a fan...

the official google sketch up blogspot has all the info you really need for sketch-up...add ons, 3d warehouse, tips and tricks...etc...

i must keep tabs on this website and hopefully when i return to the design world i wont feel too removed from whats been advancing in my absence...

i promised a few pics from marie clunes interiors evening on 23rd april...

the evening was well attended and i'm sure marie will agree it was a great success...

maire spoke for a short while on the impact small changes can make in a room, touching on how to achieve a desired look on a budget and gaining the most from a space...

guest speakers jacinta edge-moody of jem textiles and adele roche from colourtrend highlighted on how their specific products added to the experience of a space and how drama and impacted can easily be created...

it was a great evening and i was glad of the opportunity to meet other designers, tradespeople and members of the general public looking for tips and inspiration...congratulations marie on a succesful evening...

i picked up the latest edition of house and home last night for some inpiration for my latest nixer...

i'm a regular reader of this magazie and i was delighted last night to discover the magazines blogspot also...

house for sale...

this house is at the end of our street and its up for sale...

18months ago i would have had a pretty good idea what it would fetch and now in these days i'm not so sure what the asking price would be...

i'm really wanting to express an interest just for the sake of a good ould nosey throughout...i walk past this everyday and i'm always sneeking a peek through the windows...

its beautiful though...i love the sconces and the the tiled brickwork...if the exterior holds such exquisite details i can only imagine what the interior holds...
