a pair of cherry-wood bookcases by Karl Roos worth £120,000 and a previously unseen painting by 18th-century artist Johann Zoffany...

there are 550 lots in total, which were expected to fetch in excess of £2m when they went under the hammer...

well i was listening to an advert on the radio this morning...cant remember who was advertising or what the product was - but the jist of the advert was about what people aren't doing...

what they're not doing, where they're not going etc etc...all about saving money in the process of not doing these things...

and i guess my response to the advert was that i actually am not doing alot...

i'm not turning down opportunities when they come along...
i'm not taking on anything i can't handle...

i just wondered how everyone else is surviving and what you're all not doing...???

fun with the lights on...

it might come as no surprise to shed some light on the idea that i am a huge philippe starck fan, and indeed the gun lamp was favourably high in my 'favourite lamp' thoughts...until now...

this lamp from a singapore group called 'daniel loves objects' surpasses any notions of what is or was my favourite lamp...

the 'at your command' light is gold plated, it is moveable to any position leaving you to be as innocent or as naughty as you like when it comes to fun with the lights on...
