up and down...i need a big glary disco theme tune sounding out as i trundle down these every morning...

not my stairs...i saw it here and they saw it there...

renovate or restorate...

i was driving through the neighbourhood this evening and something caught my eye...

we've been really adoring a remodel project on a house nearby....corner plot, wrap around porch, 2 story building, beautiful lawns, etc...

anyway, as i was driving by i notice a sign in the yard that said 'lovingly restored'...

and i got to thinking...really...???

restoration...???

the original hardwood sash windows have been replaced with a modern pvc window, and i'm sure there are plenty of other modern interpretations of original detailing throughout the house and i got to thinking...

that sign really ought to say 'renovation' or 'lovingly renovated' or something to that effect...

what do y'all think...???

the power of colour...

bringing you lots of colour inspired posts this week...

we have spent a few months now discussing colour, picking colours, painting walls, finding accessorires, framing prints etc etc...

so i think this week i shall share with you all our inspirations and what we have done to date...

introducing the hired help...

i mentioned in my last post i had somebody new around here to help with creative input, research and post editing...

i didn't advertise the position...hr or legal or somebody will likely be on to me as i hired from within...nepotism if you will...

anyway, here's the new addition to the team...darby...!!!

darby is 8 weeks old, we've had her for 2 weeks now...she is a standard poodle, her colour is deemed 'apricot' amongst the poodle set...

i have a handlin' on it...

it's been a busy wee while for me folks...

and between one thing another i've got caught up in a whirlwind of activities, a plethora of events and what-nots leading me to renegotiate my time management skills...

fear not...

i'll be back in full force on monday...with a new addition to the team here at custardbydesign to help me keep on top of things...
