fabby faberge...

after nearly a century old hiatus, faberge has recently opened the doors of its first new boutique since 1917 on the rue Pierre-fatio 5 in Geneva...

the faberge boutique is located within a townhouse where clients are encouraged to browse the latest creations from artistis jewellers, while a 2nd floor salon reached by private lift allows prospective buyers to enjoy the jewels at their leisure...

spanish creative Jaime Hayon was selected by the creative director of faberge for this project...the spanish designer set out to embrace the faberge heritage, and ''to breathe a little joie de vivre into the brand...''

i always find it an invaluable insight to see how other designers sketches transform into an actual space...

designer Jaime Hayon has managed to fuse together the essence of the history of faberge with his own design aesthetics...

he has combined minimal forms, muted tones and heavy materials throughout the space maintaining an air of grace and elegance...

Excellent, I'm sure we'll all find time to have a look in there next time we pop over to Geneva to visit our money.
