from the ultimate lads pad to the cosy love-nest mydeco has you covered...
i have found myself spending hours surfing the site mixing and matching colours, selecting ultra-edgy furniture, fantastic gadgets and gismos, homeware and garden products...from the retro and vintage to the sleek and chic the inpirational and creative ideas are there to be stimulated by mydeco...
there is also a great moodboards area where you create a feel for te space you want to create...i really enjoy spending time on this site, but as my girlfriend brought to my attention...can sites like this endanger the career of the interior designer / architect...with the onset of new technologies is my profession in danger of becoming obsolete...?!?
i'd like to know your thoughts...do you use mydeco on a regular basis? do you think it has the potential to eliminate the need for an interior designer?

my research found that while sites like these can help out the DIY crowd...most people would use this site to get ideas to communicate with their designer..Curious to see what others have to say on this issue.......
i feel at present all jobs are at risk whatever your career
thanks for stopping by blog...really like what you're doing here:
Question you've posed in this post is one I've been thinking about for several (since 2001, to be exact) years. Perhaps it comes down, simply, to what people want, what they can afford, and whether they consider it an art to furnish their home, surroundings, life. If they are not artists and want art, and we are artists and they can find us...perhaps they will come. A little esoteric, isn't it?
I have a feeling, as artists and designers, we still have some use left... And that Miss Mary is right about the times.
