a few weeks ago my girlfriend and i took a drive to visit this luxurious boutique hotel for a bit of a nosey and some tea and scones...
we only had access to the public bars, library and reception area...but we were both overwhelmed at the understated luxury that oozed from this space...
the wellies available to borrow for guests who wish to take a walk in the grounds just emphasised the cosy at home feel that enveloped the luxury and sophistication...

wow that hotel is really beautiful! What a special day that must have been. One question though -what is a 'nosey'?
a nosey..sticking your nose in for a wee look...basically just checking the place out
we'll call that evens for teaching me what a vignette is...
great hotel..love the furnishings!
the furniture really made that room for me...simple and classic items, yet the materiality used - leather and ponyskin - suggest a real gentlemans club feel to the space...the restaurant, which i didnt snap has an arrangment of tables planned around a pool table...very cool and classy effect but again it eludes that gentlemans lounge idea...for me it all worked seamlessly tho, and there wre plenty of ladies who seemed right at ease with their champagnes et al...
